Intended Use: α-Hydroxybutyrate Dehydrogenase Test Kit (DGKC Method) is intended for quantitative in vitro determination of α-HBDH concentration in serum on photometric systems and auxiliary diagnosis for myocardial infarction. α-HBDH is not an independent enzyme in that H subunit of lactic dehydrogenase has low specificity in reactions and is capable to catalyze α-hydroxybutyric acid except for lactic acid, thus naming α-HBDH. The activity of α-HBDH in serum represents the activity of LD1 and LD2 in reality. When diseases happen such as myocardial infarction, active rheumatic myocarditis, ASVMC (Acute Viral Myocarditis) and hemolytic anemia, the activity of α-HBDH in serum will increase.
